Joel Katz’s best-known work “Strange Fruit” had its World Premiere at the Margaret Mead Festival in 2001 and has since become part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. He has made documentary and essay films since the early ’80s, and since 1996 has been a Professor in the Media Arts Department of New Jersey City University in Jersey City.
