Wildlife Detectives tells the true story of the men and women working day and night to shut down one of the most lucrative black markets for wildlife on the West Coast. Pacific Northwest poachers are cashing in on the soaring worldwide demand for shellfish, illegally harvesting and selling these marine animals to the highest bidder. It’s an enterprise that can have tragic consequences for public health and can make a lasting impact on the marine ecosystem. Unfortunately, as detectives quickly learn, cheating the system is much easier than policing it.
